Lazy day

It's such a lovely day outside. The sun is shining and it's a bit hazy from the heat. An idyllic summer day. You can feel the energy, though it's not as strong as it was earlier in the month. The Sun's days are growing short and He knows it, so He's shining His rays as hard as he can.
I'm just being lazy today but what's new?

6:49 p.m.

I sat in the side yard today, watching the big tree in the our neighbor's yard sway in the wonderful cool breeze that seemed as comforting as a hug from my mother. It's such a same that we can't have that tree in our own yard. There is no one next door to love and adore that tree as my mother and I would.
The house next door is a drug house and our neighbors are dealers. I often wonder how these people were lead so astray. Who started them on this path to distruction? Does life really get so hidious for these people that they can no longer stand to look at it unless they are looking at it through drugged eyes? No one has shown them the better part of life, where you can wake up in the morning and feel whole without the help of a pill or a powder. No one cares.
Not only are they ruining themselves but they are ruining the lives of people whom they sell to. Each of those people has a different start to their story and each of them has a reason for turning the drugs. But, most likely, the ending to each story will be the same or at least similar.
